This township was initially settled by Quakers in 1672. Evesham township was named for the same town named in England and also for well-know England migrant Thomas Eves. As time passes this to the township is larger than today, which originally included Mount Laurel, Medford, Lumberton, Hainesport, Shamong, and Washington Townships. Eventually, this township was incorporated in 1692 as one of the thirteen Townships in Burlington Country. This township was divided many times in history. For Washington Totownship a zone was cut off in 1802; furthermore, Township was divided in half in 1847, and that half become Medford Township; and in 1872, Evesham has di, vided again, for tThe last time and that divide is Mount Laurel Township. It is a historical village, there was an area Marlton and was recognized as a village in 1758. It was named in 1845. This same year, Evesham Post Office and Baptist Church had their name changes to Marlton Post Office and Marlton Baptist Church. Evesham remains mostly unchanged until the 1950s when innovators started up purchasing farms and building the township’s initial residence growths. According to the Census of 2018, this tothe township has a total population of 45060, and this township has a total area of 29.59 Square miles (79.62 km²), including 29.16 square mmiles of land and 0.43 square miles of water. Other unincorporated communities, districts, and niche names partly or entirely within the township incorporate Berlin Heights, Cambridge Cropwell, Crowfoot, Evans Corner, Evesboro, Gibbs Mill, Milford, Pine Grove, and Tomlinson’s Mill.
